British actor/singer Martin Kemp has wished Tom Hardy luck in portraying both Kray twins in a new biopic, insisting he found it tough playing just one of the crime lords back in the 1990s.

Hardy will play infamous criminals Ronnie and Reggie Kray, who ruled London's organised crime scene in the 1950s and 1960s, in a new movie about the notorious gangsters.

Kemp played Reggie alongside his brother and Spandau Ballet bandmate Gary as Ronnie in 1990 drama The Krays, and he has wished Hardy luck taking on the challenge of playing both characters.

Kemp says, "He's gonna play both parts, interesting. I had enough trouble playing one part. Tom's a great actor. That's his decision so I wish him luck."
