Hilary Swank has revealed she was the one screaming, 'Wife,' to forgetful Chicago producer Martin Edwards at The Oscars on Sunday (23MAR03) because she knows what it's like to overlook a loved one on the big night.
Swank was left red-faced in 2000 when she forgot to name check her husband Chad Lowe in her Best Actress acceptance speech, and when she realised the Best Picture winner was struggling to remember people to thank she felt she had to say something.
She says, "It was an impulsive thing. I know what that's like."
