Marlon Brando's housekeeper lover has been forced to drop the asking price of the home the late movie legend bought for her - because no one was interested in buying it.
Maria Cristina Ruiz, who gave birth to three of Brando's kids, originally put the Sherman Oaks, California property on the market for over $2 million (£1.25 million) but she has been forced to review the asking price and now it's back on sale for $1,625,000 (£1 million).
The five-bedroom home comes with a guest house, a tennis court, pool and a diving board that Brando made himself.
Ruiz tells online newspaper ShermanOaksPatch.com, "I tried to sell the house several years ago, but there were no buyers, so now I've lowered the price and I'm hoping it will sell now."
Family friend Barbara Sternig tells the website the movie icon was a regular visitor to the home and camped out with his housekeeper and their kids on the property's lawn while they were having a chimney repaired.
Sternig says, "After the 1994 earthquake, Marlon rushed to the house where the chimney had fallen down and other damage that endangered the family... He personally sat or camped on the lawn with the family until things could get sorted out for re-occupance (sic)."
Sternig reveals the home is one of many Brando bought for his lovers, while his main residence was a hilltop home on Mulholland Drive in Sherman Oaks.
