Actress Marlee Matlin has reached out to Cory Monteith as he seeks treatment for substance addiction issues, insisting the road to recovery is "tough" but "worth it".
The Glee star has sought professional help to address his problem, and Matlin has used her own experiences of a drug treatment program to encourage the 30 year old to complete his scheme.
The actress checked into the Betty Ford Clinic in California when she was younger to overcome a drug problem which was spiralling out of control and she took to her Twitter.com page on Monday (01Apr13) to post an inspiring message for Monteith.
She writes, "(My) thoughts (are) with Corey Monteith (sic) from glee (sic)... It's (a) tough road to get well, but having been there, I know it's worth it."
