British superproducer Mark Ronson and singer Katy B became Olympic torchbearers on Tuesday (24Jul12) as they helped to carry the flame across London in the run-up to the 2012 sports extravaganza.
The stars took part in a city-wide relay alongside Olympic rower James Cracknell, tennis legend Boris Becker and cricketer Michael Vaughan, and the musicians beamed with pride as they ran past Brunel University with the torch.
Ronson's DJ sister Samantha, who is based in Los Angeles, cheered on her sibling from abroad, posting a photo of Mark during the event on, and writing, "My brother, @iamMarkRonson, carrying the Olympic Torch in London today!!!!"
The flame, which has also been carried by celebrities including rockers Muse, actor James MCAvoy, and Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm, will have passed through each of London's 33 boroughs by Friday (27Jul12), when it will take pride of place at the London Games opening ceremony.
