TAKE THAT star Mark Owen has blown nearly all of his multi-million pound boyband earnings on promoting his struggling solo career - but doesn't regret a penny.

The NEVER FORGET hitmaker was so determined to launch himself as a successful solo artist he spent his Take That fortune on recording equipment and promoting his work.

But Owen, who will reunite with Howard Donald, Gary Barlow and Jason Orange for a reunion tour later this year (06), vows to continue lavishing money on his career - despite his latest solo offering floundering at No 59 in the UK album charts in 2003.

He says, "I earned a few million pounds from Take That.

"But instead of me splashing out on Ferraris and Porches, the money has paid for my solo singles and albums.

"I set up my own recording studio at my home in the Lake District and have paid out for all my own CDs to be produced.

"I don't care how well my albums do - it's my hobby and I do it all for my own fun. I don't think I'll ever stop producing them because I love writing."
