Actress Mariska Hargitay is struggling to get to grips with having two children after adopting a baby girl, admitting she often wants to pull her hair out with stress.
The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star and her actor husband Peter Hermann welcomed Amaya Josephine into their family in March (11), making their four-year-old son August a big brother.
Hargitay is revelling in her role as a busy mum-of-two, but reveals it's taken a while to get used to two kids needing her attention.
She tells, "It's a new skill to have two children that want you at the same time. Sometimes... I wanted to rip my hair out. Where I'm like, 'August! Amaya! August! Amaya!' You don't know what to do.
"So ... (it's my) first time with two-children syndrome and I'm trying to figure it all out. But so far everyone's been pretty good."
Despite the stresses of motherhood, the actress insists she couldn't be more proud of her son, who has taken to his big brother role with relish: "He is so protective. He is a little bit like the gate-keeper of her. He's been really... amazing... so affectionate. He says, 'I'm going to be her protector.' And something else. Teacher. Guidance and protector. She gets a lot of kisses."
