Marisa Miller, the 32-year-old Victoria Secret model, has been confirmed as the new spokesman for the NFL after signing up for the 2010-2011 season. Miller, a lifelong football fan, will be promoting the league's biggest events, such as the International Series game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Denver Broncos in London on October 31st 2010, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Miller, who's also a swimsuit model for Sports Illustrated, spoke of her delight at signing the deal, saying, "I'm so excited to have this incredible opportunity to partner with the NFL. I've grown up watching football my whole life". The model is set to appear in both print and televised ads for the league, and a campaign shot by photographer BRIAN BOWEN features the 32-year-old in vintage 'Broncos' attire. The Vice President of NFL International Chris Parsons said, "Marisa's love for the NFL and our sport made her ideally suited for this role. We look forward to working with her."
Miller said she is particularly looking forward to promoting the league abroad, especially in London, adding, "Going to the U.K. for this game is going to be a blast. I'm looking forward to helping gain new fans and show them how incredible the game of American football is!"
