R+B sensation Mario has become the first artist to top America's new Pop 100 Airplay chart as he chalks up a seventh week at the top of the Billboard singles chart.

The singer's LET ME LOVE YOU hit has been the only number one of 2005 so far, having debuted at the top during Christmas week (DEC04).

Billboard's new Pop 100 list is aimed towards songs that have become mass-appeal mainstream hits.

Meanwhile, the main Hot 100 chart's number two song is Ciara's collaboration with MISSY ELLIOTT - 1, 2 STEP - which hasn't moved for six weeks.
