Mario Lopez is trying to convince his wife to have four children.

'The X Factor' USA host - who announced in February that his wife Courtney Mazza is due to give birth to their second child at the end of the summer - hopes they will have two more children as he loves being a father to their two-year-old little girl Gia Francesca.

Courtney told UsMagazine.com: ''Mario is trying to convince me to have four kids. I said I would have three -- that was pushing it.

''We're excited because we see Gia growing into this little adult - her personality is so vivacious and exuberant - and it's really cool.

''The way she says things, growing into a little child -- it's just amazing how her mind works and how they learn. She's just a little spitfire!''

The couple want to keep the gender of their unborn baby and any future children a surprise.

Courtney said: ''It'll just be fun to see the next child that we made, and the next child after that . . . but that's it: three.''

Meanwhile, a Philadelphia promoter is suing 'Extra' presenter Mario, 39, for breach of contract after he allegedly failed to show up for a paid public appearance.

According to gossip website RadarOnline.com, Robert 'Bobby' Capone allegedly hired Mario to host an event on October 27, 2012 in Los Angeles for an agreed fee of $15,000 and was paid $8,000 in advance but failed to show up.

He is seeking damages in excess of $50,000.
