Mariah Carey wants to release her new album ''A.S.A.P.''

The 'Hero' singer has given fans a preview of new material with the song 'Almost Home' - from the soundtrack to new film 'Oz: The Great and the Powerful' - but says she is also hard at work getting a new full-length album ready.

She told radio host Ryan Seacrest: ''I'm really working hard.''

Referring to her long time collaborator and fellow 'American Idol' judge Randy Jackson, she added: ''Randy, he hasn't even been in the studio in months to hear what I have.

''He doesn't know every detail of this because I've been working with a bunch of people in secret locations.''

One of the people involved in the new record with Mariah is producer Bryan-Michael Cox, who said the project has been in the pipeline since before she became pregnant with twins Moroccan and Monroe, born in April 2011.

He told MTV: ''She was committed to making it before she got pregnant. Then she got pregnant and she took the time off.

''Then after she came back, we started really vibing again and we picked up right where we left off. I just feel like between Jermaine [Dupri], myself and her, we came up with a few things that are a really, really solid body of work.''
