The Roc-A-Fella Records boss is starring in, producing and directing the crime drama sequel to his 2002 film STATE PROPERTY, about three gangsters fighting to control the streets of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - which Dash has dubbed "an urban SNATCH".
And despite reports over the years suggesting Carey is demanding and difficult to work with, Dash insists she was very down-to-earth and professional.
Dash explains, "She's very professional. Didn't complain. It's not the biggest movie. She didn't have the biggest trailer. It was cold. She just weathered the elements. She was a real trooper."
The hip-hop mogul, who used to be engaged to late singer Aaliyah, met up with the HONEY hitmaker after she returned from her world tour.
Dash says, "I was telling her I was doing a movie and she said, 'Where's my part?'
"She said, 'Just make sure I look good.'"
When Carey arrived on set in Yonkers, just outside New York City, Dash said, "She had the whole world in a tizzy".09/07/2004 17:35
