Mariah Carey and The-Dream are facing legal action over their duet MY LOVE from a production duo alleging they wrote the song.
Preston Marshall and Demario Driver have filed a lawsuit against the singers and record label Island Def Jam for copyright infringement, seeking $450,000 (£300,000) in damages, according to YoRaps.com.
The producers claim they emailed their song Are You The One to music executive Jeff Huffman in 2008 only to hear a version of it on The-Dream's album Love vs. Money the following year (09).
Marshall explains, "I sent the song to (Huffman) via email. I never heard back from him. (After hearing the song on The-Dream's album) I was hurt because you put a lot of time and effort into this. You know, music is my life. I feed my family this way."
The-Dream has previously spoken about composing the track, revealing he wrote its lyrics with Carey in mind.
