Maria Sharapova is all set to become the richest woman in sport after launching her new line of tennis apparel.
MARIA SHARAPOVA, the championship winning tennis player who is engaged to NBA player SASHA VUJACIC, is set to become the richest woman in sport after releasing a new range of sportswear for Nike, according to the Bleacher Report. The sports star, who is currently battling a virus and may not compete in a forthcoming tournament in France, could earn over $70 million from the new range, which includes her '2011 Australian Open Dress'. Sharapova has signed an eight year deal with Nike and she launched the new line at the Crown Casino in Melbourne last week. The tennis star also showed off her dazzling engagement ring at the event, said to be worth $250,000. Los Angeles Lakers star Vujacic popped the question back in October 2010 after the couple had dated for a year. Speaking recently to People Magazine, Sharapova confirmed that she will be designing her own wedding shoes for the ceremony and when discussing the dress said, "Sometimes you want to go a little bit shorter, but I love when the dress is also long and fluid and you feel really elegant and flowy. It's a really good feeling".
It has been reported that the couple have yet to decide on a wedding date or venue, but it is understood that the ceremony will take place sometime in 2011.
