THE WOMAN IN WHITE star Maria Friedman has again been forced to pull out of performances of the hit Broadway, New York City, musical to undergo breast cancer surgery.

The Olivier Award-winning actress only returned to the show last month (17NOV05) - just two weeks after undergoing surgery to remove a lump from her breast.

But the star of the critically-acclaimed production of SIR Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical insists her visit to hospital was "part of her ongoing treatment for stage one breast cancer", adding, "It was an outpatient procedure."
