Margot Robbie is said to be in negotiations to play Jane in the upcoming 'Tarzan' movie alongside Alexander Skarsgård.
Margot Robbie is in talks to play Jane in the new 'Tarzan' movie.
The actress recently shot to fame as Leonardo Dicaprio's seductress in Oscar-nominated film 'The Wolf of Wall Street' and is now being tipped to play Tarzan's love interest in the upcoming blockbuster based on the novels by Edgar Rice, reports TheWrap.com.
The big-budget Warner Bros. film will be directed by David Yates, who directed the final two 'Harry Potter' films.
If Robbie is cast she will be starring alongside 'True Blood' heartthrob Alexander Skarsgård, who is confirmed for the title role, and will be supported by 'Django Unchained' actors Christoph Waltz and Samuel L. Jackson.
The Australian beauty - whose first acting jobs were on 'Neighbours' and cancelled TV period drama 'Pan Am' - has also landed the lead role in 'Z for Zachariah', replacing Amanda Seyfried, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She will star alongside 'Star Trek' hunk Chris Pine and Chiwetel Ejiofor, who is currently being celebrated for his performance in '12 Years a Slave.'
Robbie has signed on to play a small-town girl who survives a nuclear war in the film, which will be directed by Chris Zobel and is an adaptation of a post-apocalyptic science fiction novel by Robert C. O'Brien.
The actress will next be seen in con movie 'Focus' with Will Smith.
