MARCIA CROSS' hopes of adopting a baby have been mocked by the woman whose unborn child the DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star once snubbed after agreeing to adopt him.
Nebraska native JESSICA RIDNER claims Cross decided not to take charge of her baby son NICKOLAS after he was born prematurely, and doctors warned he didn't have long to live.
Ridner tells US tabloid the Globe, "She (Marcia) said she didn't have the time to be with the baby in the hospital.
"What kind of mother can't take the time to be with her sick child? Her work came before her baby."
Little Nickolas died a week after his birth last year (04), but the tragic incident hasn't deterred Cross from starting a family.
The 43-year-old actress has high hopes of becoming a mum and starting a family with fiance Tom Mahoney.
The actress' mother says, "A baby is still in her future plans."
