Late blues singer/guitarist 'LITTLE' MILTON CAMPBELL, singer Marcia Ball and guitarist MAGIC SLIM are leading the nominations at the 2006 Blues Music Awards.

Campbell, who died in August (05) following a stroke, is up for the BB KING Entertainer Of The Year and Album Of The Year, as well two other awards, alongside Ball and Slim, who have also been nominated four times.

Following close behind, Shemekia Copeland and Bobby Rush, guitarist Hubert Sumlin, and harp player Kim Wilson are nominated in three categories.

Meanwhile, Fabulous Thunderbirds, The Holmes Brothers, Little Charlie And The Nightcats, Rod Piazza And The Mighty Flyers and MAGIC SLIM AND THE TEARDROPS are fighting for the coveted Band Of The Year gong.

The winners will be announced at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis, Tennessee, on 11 May (06).
