"Hi, yeah it's Miley...Look could you bring me some clothes - I seem to have accidentally inhaled mine and there's this creepy dude standing around with a camera." Well maybe Miley Cyrus didn't actually say this but it's pretty much what the 20 year-old former Hannah Montana's facial expression is implying on the front of designer Marc Jacobs T-shirt emblazoned with the slogan "Protect The Skin You're In" which is positioned strategically over a starkers Cyrus.

It's not a massive cloth-shed for the usually scantily clad performer but there's a special cause at the heart of the shirt campaign. One of the striking black and white T-shirts will cost you $35 but proceeds will go to support the NYU Cancer Institute and NYU Langone Medical Center: centres for medical education in New York, as reported by The Daily Mail. The shirts were launched across nine Marc Jacobs boutiques in America on Friday (26th July) morning, with a planned expansion to Europe next month.

With design by Marc Jacobs and company president Robert Duffy, Cyrus is the latest in a line of celebrities to appear naked on a T-shirt, including Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell and Dita Von Teese. Speaking to Women's Wear Daily, financial brain Duffy explained why Cyrus was chosen to trumpet the important cause, saying she "has been a friend of mine for a while and I think she's beautiful. She is a lot of fun to be with. She is talented in many mediums from music to film. She really has a very good, solid head on her shoulders. I adore her," gushed the fashion guru. Cyrus took to Twitter to urge her 12 million followers to buy a shirt, asking "Who's gettin my #protecttheskinyourein Tee from @MarcJacobsIntl [sic]"

Miley Cyrus' latest single We Can't Stop is out now in the USA but will be released on 4th August in the UK.
