Heavy rock band Manowar caused a massive blackout in Cleveland, Ohio on Friday (11Mar11) when a pre-gig soundcheck blew one of the city's power grids.
The band took to the stage at the city's Agora venue on Friday afternoon to rehearse ahead of a planned show that evening, but the instruments caused an overload and left a whole block in darkness.
Workers at the local electricity company took 24 hours to get the grid back online, and the band had to use emergency generators to power the show, according to Blabbermouth.net.
