Australian Actress Maggie Kirkpatrick Has Been Ordered To Complete 100 Hours Of Community Service After She Was Convicted Of Historic Sex Offences.
The Prisoner: Cell Block H star, 74, was found guilty of two counts of indecent assault and one count of gross indecency on a person under 16 on Thursday (20Aug15) for sexually abusing a 14-year-old female fan in the 1980s.
Kirkpatrick escaped a jail term when she returned to Melbourne Magistrates Court on Friday (21Aug15) for sentencing, but was handed an 18-month community corrections order, which includes 100 hours community service.
She was also ordered to enrol in a sex offenders program and submit a DNA sample. She will be placed on the sex offenders register for eight years.
Kirkpatrick is expected to appeal her conviction.
