Congratulations to Maggie Gyllenhaal as the Oscar-nominated actress has revealed she's pregnant for the second time, with her and husband Peter Sarsgaard already the proud parents of five year-old Ramona. The news was officially relayed to Us Magazine, with the 34 year-old reportedly telling a friend that she'll "be laying low for a bit now".
As Hollywood couples go, Gyllenhaal and Sarsgaard are among the very firmest; the pair have been together since 2002, almost a decade, after the 'Crazy Girl' actress met the 40 year-old through her younger brother Jake Gyllenhaal. With Ramona being born in 2006, the pair eventually married in 2009 - seven years after getting together, take note Kim and Kris - and reside in Brooklyn New York.
Speaking to the same publication last year however, Gyllenhaal had admitted that at times it was a struggle to balance a career which has seen her gain plaudits in films such as 'Secretary', 'Sherrybaby' and 'The Dark Knight' among others, with being a mother and wife. "Being a mom is so present in my mind and my work," she'd said "It's the most important thing about me, but next I'd like to play someone who's not a mother. Really!" It looks like her full-time job as mother has just gained a huge increase in workload however.
