Maggie Gyllenhaal and her actor husband Peter Sarsgaard have become parents for the second time, following the birth of daughter Gloria Ray. The actress' representative confirmed the news to Usa Today, confirming that the couple had welcomed Gloria in New York on April 19, 2012.
The actress first confirmed the pregnancy in March, saying it was a struggle to disguise her baby-bump from the prying eyes of the press, saying, "I find it difficult to pretend you're not pregnant, which I had to do.I didn't let anyone know until three and a half months this time. I went to film festivals. I'm throwing up in the bathroom and having to keep pretzels in my purse, and having to fit into dresses". The birth comes at the perfect time for the Hollywood couple, who celebrate their third wedding anniversary on Wednesday (April 2, 2012). The pair welcomed their first child Ramona in October 2009 and married in a small chapel in Italy in 2009.
Gyllenhaal will next star in the drama 'Won't Back Down', about two determined mothers who look to transform their children's failing city school - the movie also stars Viola Davis and Holly Hunter. Her husband Sarsgaard will feature in the forthcoming Linda Lovelace biopic, alongside AMANDA SEYFRIED.
