Madonna's alleged new toyboy has opened up about their relationship, revealing he grew close to the pop superstar after he was hired to dance at the launch of her clothing range.
In October (10), New York tabloids reported the Material Girl had split from her Brazilian lover Jesus Luz and was dating much younger choreographer Brahim Rachiki.
However, it was a case of mistaken identity, and it was dancer Brahim Zaibat who was actually spotted clubbing with the singer at a Big Apple hotspot.
Now the 24-year-old Frenchman has revealed the pair met after he danced at the launch of her Material Girl fashion line in September (10), but insists he was wasn't fazed during his first meeting with the famous 52 year old.
He tells Britain's Grazia magazine, "(I was) asked... to dance for the launch of Material Girl and then backstage I was introduced to her. She thanked me for my performance. I didn't feel like I met a monster. She was a woman almost like any other woman. I was really happy to meet her but I did not stress about it."
And Zaibat adds it was not the pair's intention to "go public" with their reported romance by partying together in New York: "We were clubbing and were seen dancing together. Because it's Madonna, the repercussions were absolutely unbelievable. It was not a calculated decision to go public. We were just having a good time with friends. I wouldn't say things went too fast. My life did not really change. I am still the same person."
However, Zaibat has risked the wrath of the notoriously fiery star by criticising her pop classics. He adds, "It sure isn't what I would put on to my iPod. But like everybody else, I know all of her hits. And since we met, I have listened to everything she has done. It turns out she has added a lot of hip-hop and break dancing influences in to her latest work."
