Madonna has spoken out regarding claims that Lady GaGa has plagiarised one of her songs. The controversy surrounds Gaga's hit 'Born This Way', which some listeners feels bears too much of a resemblance to Madonna's 'Express Yourself.' Rolling Stone magazine have reported today that Madge has complimented the song and quote her as saying "I thought, this is a wonderful way to redo my song," she said, recalling the first time she heard the hit early last year. "I mean, I recognized the chord changes. I thought it was . . . interesting."
A report from MTV News, though, reveals more of the interview, in which she labels Gaga's song "reductive." When asked if that was good or bad, she answered curtly by saying "look it up." Elsewhere in the interview, for The Graham Norton Show, Madonna revealed that the title for her next album would be M.D.N.A. The album marks her first album for Interscope Records, since leaving Warner Bros. Her Last album, 2010's Hard Candy debuted at number one in the US album charts and has sold 740,000 copies in the States. Lady Gaga's last album, Born This Way, sold 1.1 million copies in the States in its first week of release.
Madonna has been confirmed as one of the performers for the half-time show at the Bridgestone Super Bowl Xlvi, to be broadcast on NBC in February 2012. When Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake performed at the show in 2004, they sparked public outrage when Janet Jackson's breast was temporarily exposed.
