Madonna finally kicked off her delayed 'Rebel Heart Tour' in Montreal, Canada, on Wednesday (09.09.15).
Madonna opened her 'Rebel Heart' tour in Montreal on Wednesday night (09.09.15) and thanked her fans for their incredible support.
The ecstatic 57-year-old performer took to Twitter to praise her fans after a warm welcome in Canada for the show, which mixed new songs with her classic hits.
She wrote in a series of tweets: ''Thanks to all my Rebel Heart Fans! I felt your love! #rebelhearttour.
''This Unapologetic Bitch loves you Montreal! #rebelhearttour
''Music makes the people come together! YEAH!!! Opening Night #rebelhearttour... Montreal (sic).''
And she revealed her own personal highlight of the night was a performance of 'La Vie en Rose', which she performed in French.
Madonna tweeted: ''Highlight of the Night! La Vie en Rose!! Je t'aime pour toujours Montreal. #rebelhearttour (sic).''
Wednesday was the first night in Madonna's 64-show arena world tour and the singer wore lavish costumes from Moschino's Jeremy Scott, Gucci's Alessandro Michele, Alexander Wang, Prada, Miu Miu and Swarovski during the show.
The tour was originally scheduled to start in Miami on August 29th, but the first five dates were postponed after Madonna said it wasn't ready.
In a statement she explained: ''As my fans already know, the show has to be perfect. Assembling all the elements will require more time than we realised. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause my fans.''
