Madonna has taken to Instagram again as her ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Guy Ritchie continues. The former couple are currently embroiled in a legal war over their 15-year-old son Rocco, who in December left his mother’s Rebel Heart tour to stay in London with his father.

Sharing a photo of Rocco smiling and wearing flowers around his neck, Madonna wrote: "I miss this boy so full of life so full of love I hope we see that Leo Sun soon. The light is blinding!”

It’s the second time in under a week Madonna has referenced her son on Instagram. Last Wednesday she shared a picture of the 15-year-old as a baby, captioning it, “Tu me manqué”, which translates from French to “I miss you”.

The custody battle began in December when Rocco reportedly refused to fly home from London to the US to join his mother for the holidays. Two days before Christmas a judge in New York ordered Rocco to return home but the teen refused.

Rocco is reported to have become frustrated with his mother’s strict parenting style and finds it harder at home now that his sister Lourdes is away at college. “Rocco and Lourdes have always been close and he finds it hard to live with his mother without her there,” a source told The Sun.

Madonna is also said to be concerned that her son is missing school, especially since it’s an exam year, however Ritchie is reportedly allowing Rocco more freedom now he’s in London. “Guy wants to wait until Rocco’s future is decided before making any plans for his schooling,” a friend of the director told The Sun.

“He feels he is repairing the damage done to Rocco through being on tour with his mother last year and is in fact keeping a watchful eye over his son.” Madonna and Ritchie’s next court date is set for March 2nd.
