Madonna is reportedly in talks to make a special appearance on the new season of U.K. talent show The X Factor - after Beyonce's explosive performance sent the series' ratings through the roof.
Beyonce took to the stage to perform her hit If I Was Boy on the show last year (08), and was credited with helping the show's champion Alexandra Burke earn extra votes due to their powerful duet of the star's hit Listen.
X Factor boss Simon Cowell also managed to persuade Britney Spears to perform live on the hit show - after a four-year hiatus from British television.
Now, the music mogul has his sights on the Queen of Pop to provide a superstar cameo during this year's (09) live finals, which will air in the U.K. in December, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.
A source tells the publication, "The last series proved anything is possible when Beyonce performed with Alex. The final got 15 million viewers and that is enough to entice the biggest stars on to our stage.
"This year is going to be bigger than ever - we are planning to get the best names in music - Madonna would be sensational."
Bosses at ITV - the show's network - have allegedly stumped up an extra $9 million (£6 million) for the series' budget, which they are hoping to spend on guest performers such as Lady GaGa and Robbie Williams, as well as Madonna.
