Alessandro Michele for Gucci, Jeremy Scott for Moschino and Nicolas Jebran have also worked with the pop superstar's longtime costume designer Arianne Phillips for the tour, which will continue until March (16).

It appears Madonna no longer has love for Armani following her horror fall at the BRIT Awards in London in February (15). During her performance, she struggled with a cape from the designer and was dragged down a flight of steps to the floor when she couldn't unfasten it in time.

The Material Girl shook herself off and carried on with the set, but during an interview with comedienne Ellen DeGeneres a month later, she admitted she was upset her much-anticipated performance didn't go as planned.

She explained, "I went to my room and cried from humiliation - not because I was in pain. Nothing hurt on me. That's just the weirdest thing, I'm hard on myself.

"The first thing that crossed my mind wasn't, 'Oh my God, am I hurt?' It was just like, 'S**t. I made a mistake. I wanna start this again'. And I couldn't, so I was like, 'OK, I'll just keep going'... It's nobody's fault. Actually if anyone's going to take the blame it's me, since I insisted to tie the bow (of the cape) tighter around my neck."

Diplo will open for the singer on 9 and 10 September (15), and comedienne Amy Schumer will provide a few laughs when she becomes Madonna's support act at New York's Madison Square Garden and the Barclays Center in Brooklyn a week later.

The star will perform in North America until the end of October (15) and then head to Europe for dates that will take her up to Christmas (15).

She'll return to North America for shows in January (16) and then conclude the tour with gigs in Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
