Madonna might be giving UK fans short shrift on her forthcoming UK tour as, fresh from her half-time Super Bowl show, she turned her attention to a mammoth seven month worldwide tour. England will only be seeing one date of it however, though the venue will be sizeable, the Queen of Pop playing a huge outdoor gig at the famous Hyde Park in London, regular location for the city's Wireless festival.
The dates for the tour have been posted on Madonna's site, a massive jaunt that starts in Israel's capital of Tel Aviv on May 29th - with tickets for it going on sale February 10th - and then travelling around Europe until mid-August before heading back to North America where she'll carry on playing until November 17th. Her brief sojourn to the UK will occur having played Paris; the star calling into Hyde Park -as you do - on July 17th and playing up in Scotland at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium on the 21st. It'll be the first time Madonna's played a headlining solo show in the UK since her shows at the O2 Arena in London back in the summer of 2009.
Elsewhere, Madonna's reportedly furious at M.I.A's stray finger, a source telling the UK's Sun newspaper "Madonna wasn't impressed. She prides herself on professionalism," continuing "Madonna wanted to put on a world-beating performance. But everyone ended up talking about this girl's middle finger."
