Pop icon Madonna has surpassed Elvis Presley as the solo artist with the most number one albums in the U.K. thanks to her new record Mdna.
The Material Girl's twelfth release overtakes the record previously set by Presley, making Madonna queen of the U.K. albums chart.
David Guetta's Nothing But The Beat held onto second place, Emeli Sande's Our Version of Events rose to third, and at four is Adele's hugely-successfully 21. Meanwhile, Jessie J's Who You Are jumped 18 spots to number five.
In the singles chart, announced on Sunday (01Apr12), Chris Brown's Turn Up the Music went straight to number one, while Sean Paul's She Doesn't Mind remained at two.
Rising to three is Starships by Nicki Minaj, while Katy Perry's Part of Me slipped to four. Rounding out the top five is Gotye's collaboration with Kimbra, Somebody That I Used To Know.
