Australian Madonna fans are petitioning the superstar to include their country in her forthcoming world tour, after a 13-year absence. Her Antipodean fans signed a similar petition in 2004 ahead of her Drowned World tour, but to no avail. Madonna has avoided Australia since her Girlie Show tour in 1993, because the birth of her two children LOURDES and ROCCO has made travelling long-distance difficult. After the HUNG UP hitmaker announced dates in the US and Europe for her upcoming Confessions world tour, her Aussie fans quickly began a desperate plea for her to perform down under. A Warner Music Australia spokeswoman says, "We are doing everything in our power to encourage Madonna to include Australia on her Confessions tour." Last year (05), Madonna said, "If I go to Japan I'll go to Australia, I promise."
