Rockers Chris Cornell and Duff Mckagan are joining newly reunited grunge supergroup Mad Season for a special concert.

The Seattle, Washington-based band only released one album, Above, in 1995, and the remaining members are coming together to mark its 20th anniversary for a special performance in their hometown next year (15).

The gig is part of the Seattle Symphony's Sonic Evolution series, which pays tribute to the city's musical past. For the second half of the evening, Original Mad Season members, Pearl Jam guitarist Mike MCCready and Screaming Trees drummer Barrett Martin will take to the stage with Soundgarden frontman Cornell and former Guns N' Roses bassist MCKagan.
