In order to spice up their trade show, the NAMM had a variety of music artist performing as well as showing off the latest and best equipment in music today.
Trade shows aren't usually all that interesting for people outside of the specific companies in attendance, yet for the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Show things are a little different. While it is, of course, a place for people in the music industry to show off their new tech and equipment, it has the notable exception of being a music event with various artist taking to the stage to perform for the veterans of the music industry.

The Anaheim Convention Centre saw people like singer/songwriter Colbie Caillat, Red Hot Chilli Peppers drummer Chad Smith and Citizen Cope in attendance, yet the musical line-up was perhaps the most interesting. In addition to a show of force from Troy 'Trombone Shorty' Andrews, acclaimed singer/songwriter and electronica artist Moby played an acoustic performance. But perhaps the primary performance of the entire event was a stunning show from southern hard-rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The Lynyrd Skynyrd performance contained Rickey Medlocke, an original member of the band, and Johnny Van Zant, the younger brother of the band's founder.
