Lydia Bright – the sort of least ‘Essex’ one from The Only Way Is Essex – has launched her vintage-inspired clothing line just in time for Christmas, but will anyone bother buying it? Fans of the ITV1 show have been gorging themselves on the Kardashian Kollection over at Dorothy Perkins, so who’s going to spend their hard-earned cash on some the retro designs of Lydia Rose Bright?

Well, the young entrepreneur certainly thinks there’s a market for a 50’s inspired look, saying in a statement, “My vision for the Lydia Rose Bright label was to create collections that encapsulate classic sophistication and glamour – clothes that independent, ambitious, creative young women who love style and feeling fabulous will want to wear forever.” Bright argues that trends “come and go” but that iconic pieces remain style staples. Well, yeah, leather jackets, trench coats and blazers do, but some frilly dresses from Lydia Rose Bright? Anyway, if you fancy spending your Christmas money on something from the new collection, it’s available exclusively at Lipstickboutique.co.uk, newlook.com, very.co.uk, bellasorella.co.uk and lipsy.co.uk.

Bright’s new range comes after former ‘Essex’ star Lauren Goodger designed a fashion collection for Simply Be, in sizes 14-32.
