Actor Luke Wilson earned the nickname 'Comma' on the set of his directorial debut - because he kept infuriating his cast by insisting they stick religiously to the script.
Wilson admits seasoned stars including veteran character actor HARRY DEAN STANTON regularly lost patience with him when he ordered them to stop improvising and simply read his script for THE WENDELL BAKER STORY.
He tells website PAGESIX.COM, "Harry was constantly improvising. I told him, 'Just say what's on the page.' Then, one night we're at a bar, and he just looks over at me in disgust and mutters, 'Comma.'"06/04/2005 09:19
