British actress Lucy Davies denies her recent collapse was the result of severe and sudden weight loss, insisting it was caused by an allergic reaction to antibiotics.
The 32-year-old THE OFFICE star, who underwent a kidney transplant eight years ago, collapsed during family celebrations during the holiday season (DEC05) in Birmingham, England, with suspected kidney failure.
And she was horrified when the media linked her condition with her recent weight loss.
The star's father, TV comedian Jasper Carrott, says, "We don't know what's caused this. It's just one of those things."
Davies says, "I've taken them twice a day for eight years. I sometimes forget it looks odd when I'm in a bar swallowing 10 or 12 tablets with whiskey and Coke."
