Kevin Bacon refused to get flustered when he directed his wife KYRA SEDGWICK in a series of graphic onscreen romps for their new movie - because to him they were like filming "driving scenes".
Bacon took control on the set of Loverboy, in which Sedgwick's character sleeps with several men in a bid to become pregnant, and accepted the sex scenes for what they were.
Bacon says, "We're fairly professional about it, so the sex scenes are character-driven, like driving scenes or dinner scenes.

Kevin Bacon is trying to dissuade his daughter from becoming an actress after casting her in his own film. The FOOTLOOSE star's daughter SOSIE (corr) plays his wife Kyra Sedgwick's younger character in new independent film Loverboy, and Bacon insists she did a fabulous job, but he won't be encouraging her to follow her new acting dreams.
He says, "I have my own feelings about child actors. I don't think kids should be working, and yet we need kids in movies. That being said, there was a great part for a 10-year-old girl that's supposed to be Kyra as a little girl and I had to have my daughter do it.
"I was playing the father. She did a great job but I don't really encourage my kids to go into any kind of acting."

The FOOTLOOSE star hasn't directed a film since LOSING CHASE in 1996, but he admits working with Eastwood on the film Mystic River has given him the impetus he needed to take on another project - a new film, Loverboy.
He says, "After I worked with Clint, I really turned the heat up on Loverboy, because it was so great to see the way he works.
