Louis Tomlinson (born Louis Troy Austin, 24.12.1991) Louis Tomlinson is an English singer and a member of the pop boy band One Direction.
Childhood: Louis Tomlinson was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. His parents are Johannah Poulston and Troy Austin but they split when he was young and he took on his stepfather Mark Tomlinson's surname. He was an extra on 'Fat Friends' after two of his sisters had infant roles on the show. He attended a drama school in Barnsley and subsequently had small roles in ITV movie 'If I Had You' and BBC school drama series 'Waterloo Road'. He also attended Hayfield School before going on to Hall Cross School after failing his A levels. Before One Direction, he had jobs at a cinema and as a waiter at Doncaster Rovers football stadium. Louis was in several school productions including landing the main part in 'Grease'.
Musical career: Louis Tomlinson auditioned as a solo artist on 'The X Factor' in 2010 but failed to reach judges houses. He was placed in a group with four other failed candidates; Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Harry Styles; and eventually went on to judges houses in the groups category. They all agreed on the band name One Direction after it was put forward by Styles. They came third place in the whole competition but nonetheless landed a recording contract with Syco Records after being mentored by Simon Cowell. One Direction have received numerous awards including two BRITs, three Teen Choice and an NME award, as well as having three UK number singles and a worldwide number one album.
Personal life: Louis Tomlinson had been dating his high school sweetheart Hannah Walker throughout his time on 'X Factor', but the broke up in 2011 due to his career commitments. He then began dating Eleanor Calder, after being introduced by Styles, who he has been in a relationship with for over a year. He has admitted to admiring artists such as Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran.
Liam Payne is set to collaborate with Louis Tomlinson on a new single, although it has yet to be confirmed who the track was written for.
The One Direction band members have joined forces on a forthcoming track one year after the 'History' hitmakers decided to go on an extended hiatus, and the pair have penned the song together, which is called 'Something That Scares Me About Love'.
Although it is unknown who the duo penned the song for, musical director Tim Crooks has revealed he is desperate to work with 23-year-old Liam again.

Rumours that Cheryl is pregnant have been circulating for ages now, but when the singer made her first public appearance in months last night, #CondomCampaignFor1D began trending on Twitter.
The band’s website tricked fans into thinking they might be about to make a comeback.
One Direction fans thought the day they’d been waiting for had finally arrived yesterday, when an update on the band’s website seemed to suggest their hiatus was over. However it appears the fan’s celebrations were a little premature and there’s still no sign of when the band will be back. But they do have some new t-shirts.

It all started when the band’s official website added a ‘Future Events’ section, causing fans to immediately think that show announcements were imminent. Almost immediately fans on Twitter started freaking out and the hashtag #ThisIsNotTheEndOfOneDirection began trending.
Cowell had recently said he was “expecting to announce something soon with Niall”.
Niall Horan has reportedly made the shock decision to sign a solo record deal with Universal Music, instead of Simon Cowell’s Syco label. According to reports, the label pursued Niall to sign a deal after failing to lure away Harry Styles, who ended up staying with Sony, the label which houses Cowell’s Syco.

But while the two singers spent years making music together before One Direction went on hiatus in January, this Sunday they’ll be on opposing teams.
