Legendary record producer Lou Adler has been recognised for his contribution to the music industry with a star on Hollywood's Walk Of Fame. The 72-year-old Grammy Award-winner, who launched the careers of Carole King, THE MAMAS AND THE PAPAS and Sam Cooke, was surrounded by friends and family at the ceremony held yesterday (06APR06). He says, "My friend called me yesterday and said to forget all the awards I've ever been given." Those present included Adler's sister-in-law, actress Daryl Hannah, his son CISCO and movie star Jack Nicholson.
