American shows including Lost, Dexter and Mad Men look set to dominate the upcoming Monte-Carlo Television Festival after scoring a clutch of nominations for the event's Golden Nymph Awards.
The U.S. programmes are among the frontrunners in the international competition, which features entries from countries all over the world, including Australia, Canada, Russia, South Africa and Spain.
Mystery show Lost, starring Matthew Fox and Josh Holloway, is nominated in the Best TV Drama category alongside Dexter and Mad Men, as well as Britain's Downton Abbey, Ireland's The Tudors and Canadian cop drama Rookie Blue.
Glee, 30 Rock and Modern Family will compete in the Best Comedy series category with the U.K.'s Mrs Brown's Boys.
The festival runs in Monte Carlo from 6-10 June (11) and the winners will be announced on 10 June (11).
