Lost star Josh Holloway is in talks to return to the small screen as iconic private eye JIM ROCKFORD in a revamp of 1970s TV drama THE ROCKFORD FILES.
The actor, who played stranded James 'Sawyer' Ford in the desert island drama for six seasons, has been taking a break to focus on his family since the show wrapped earlier this year (10) - but now he's in negotiations to front a new TV series.
Reports suggest he's the favourite to take over James Garner's title role in The Rockford Files.
Producer David Shore tells EW.com, "It’s too premature” to comment on Holloway's negotiations, but reveals actor/filmmaker Peter Berg is onboard to produce and "possibly direct".
The first attempt to revive the franchise, which was to feature Dermot Mulroney as Rockford, failed to launch last spring (09) when a pilot episode received a lackluster review from TV bosses.
