I'm A Celebrity 2011 is now just days away, with the first celebrities on this year's show beginning to arrive in Australia ahead of Sunday's premiere (13th November 2011). Former Emmerdale star Lorraine Chase was first to arrive in Brisbane this week, reports the UK's Daily Mail.
The 60-year-old was dressed smartly in a red summer dress as she was snapped upon her arrival, telling reporters, "I had a 60th birthday in July and ever since then I've been trying to find a challenge. I'm A Celebrity is that challenge". In a surprise move, ITV bosses appear to have chosen an older crowd for this year's show, with 69-year-old comedian FREDDIE STARR also jetting out of Heathrow on his way Down Under. Elsewhere, former jockey WILLIE CARSON is appearing on the show, as is American actress Stefanie Powers, best known for her television drama 'Hart to Hart'. Shortly after landing in Australia, Carson said, "I'm really looking forward to experiencing Australia, but I'm not prepared for roughing it in the jungle. I'm not ready for the camping aspect and I'm really going to miss my bed". The younger contingent on this year's show is rumoured to be headed by 'The Only Way is Essex' star Mark Wright, while The Real Hustle's Jessica-Jane Clement is also rumoured to be making the trip.
The full line up for this year's show will be revealed on Thursday (10th November 2011), with the first episode set to air on Sunday.
