Country legend Loretta Lynn has scrapped another set of shows after she was hospitalised with extreme dehydration.
The singer was set to take to the stage at the Jamboree In The Hills music festival in Ohio on Sunday (17Jul11), but after being badly affected by the extreme heat in her native Tennessee, she has been left too ill to perform.
A statement from the event's organisers says, "The recent scorching temperatures has forced country music legend Loretta Lynn to cancel the next few shows of her 2011 tour. Ms. Lynn was recently hospitalised and treated for serious dehydration after the temperature index soared to over 100 degrees in parts of Tennessee.
"Shows will be rescheduled where possible, and Ms. Lynn regrets having to disappoint fans who had hoped to see her in concert in the weeks ahead. Ms. Lynn said, 'I'm sad to have to cancel any shows - I've been looking forward to getting back out there to see all my fans.'"
Lynn was forced to scrap a series of concerts and public appearances in April (11) after undergoing knee surgery.
