Lorde Debut Album 'Pure Heroine' Announced For October 28th 2013

With a meteoric rise that has seen her firmly established as one of 2013's most original, individualistic and talked-about new artists, Lorde is now excited to announce details of 'Pure Heroine', her feverishly awaited debut album, released in the UK on October 28 via Virgin Records.
Alongside singles and firm fan favorites 'Tennis Court' and 'Royals', 'Pure Heroine' will include 8 brand new tracks, constituting an encompassing statement of intent from this much in-demand young star.
Ahead of the album, Lorde will be officially releasing her breakthrough single 'Royals' on October 20th in the UK, to be accompanied by a special remix by one of the US' hottest contemporary artists with details to follow soon.
The last few months have seen a head-spinning list of accomplishments for the 16-year-old New Zealander, real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor, born and raised on Auckland's North Shore. A viral groundswell has seen her debut release 'The Love Club' EP race up the US charts, which has gone in the iTunes Top 10 Album Chart, with single 'Royals' simultaneously in the Top 10 Singles Chart.
The stark and individualistic videos for 'Royals' and 'Tennis Court' have clocked up a staggering combined 8 million views on YouTube, with the tracks also becoming permanent fixtures on the Spotify and Shazam charts. Profiles on Lorde by The Observer, Huffington Post and Billboard among others and recent single 'Tennis Court' spending 5 weeks on the In New Music We Trust playlist on BBC Radio 1 as well as enjoying plays on 6 Music and XFM further demonstrate the contagious and far-reaching excitement with her music and words.
Currently playing her first ecstatically received shows in the US, these were seen and raved about by everyone from Diplo and Perez Hilton to Jared Leto and Hollywood actress Chloe Moretz, with audiences knowledgeably singing back the lyrics. This makes her imminent arrival in the UK all the more exciting when she plays a debut UK show hosted by White Heat at Madame Jojo's in London on September 17th,
