LATEST: LL Cool J's TV drama dreams have been realised thanks to a partnership with the creator of the CSI franchise. The rapper, real name JAMES TODD SMITH, was highly sought after by a number of networks after he made an impressive guest appearance on the hit US TV series HOUSE last autumn (05). The CONTROL MYSELF singer was busy promoting his new album at the time, but the number of offers and a reported seven figure contract convinced him to return to TV. He's confirmed he'll work with Anthony Zuiker on cop show The Man, which is loosely based on his own life. He'll play an undercover Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer who spends nights chasing criminals and days taking care of his three adopted kids, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
