Jason Donovan will return to 'The War Of The World...The New Generation!' musical in a new role.

The 43-year-old singer and actor - who previously starred as The Artilleryman - will return as Parson Nathaniel, The Disturbed holy man driven to insanity by the Martian invasion of earth and Jason revealed he is most excited about the full body hologram of Liam Neeson, which will narrate the story.

He said: ''I am delighted and very excited to be going back on tour with 'The War of the Worlds' and taking on the new role of Parson Nathaniel. 'The New Generation' is going to have some fantastic effects and I, for one, can't wait to see the 3D hologram of Liam Neeson! It's going to be a whole new show and a whole new experience.''

Guns N' Roses Announce UK Tour

Guns N' Roses have announced a string of UK tour dates.

The 'November Rain' rockers - who performed a huge sold out world tour last year - will return to Britain for six shows, beginning in Nottingham on November 19.

They then head to Liverpool and Newcastle, before going to Scotland to perform in Glasgow then returning to England for dates in Birmingham, Manchester and, finally, London's The O2.

One Direction Adele Ed Sheeran Brit Awards Liverpool Echo Arena O2 Arena

One Direction have announced their 2013 UK and Ireland tour.

The boy band - who took home the British Single prize at the Brit Awards last night (21.02.12) for their 2011 hit 'What Makes You Beautiful' - have planned 15 gigs, which will begin with two dates at London's The O2 next February.

The tour will also take the group - who are made up of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson - to Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Northern Ireland before they return to England with dates in Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham.

The 'Nothing's Real But Love' singer - who finished as runner-up on last year's series losing out to Matt Cardle in the final - is rooting for her fellow Liverpudlian to land the record deal on Sunday (11.12.11).

Rebecca is still grateful for the support the city gave to her last year and knows the whole of Liverpool will get behind Marcus - who is mentored by Gary Barlow - at the weekend.

Liam Neeson's War Of The Worlds Role

Liam Neeson is to appear as a hologram in the stage version of 'War of the Worlds'.

The 'Schindler's List' actor will be shows as a full body hologram narrating the musical, which will be staged on an arena tour across the UK next year.

The star takes over from the late Richard Burton, who's distinctive voice was used to narrate the 1978 soundtrack album of the musical – based on HG Wells' classic science fiction tale of aliens invading earth - and has been used, along with a holographic head, in the production since 2006.
