Live At Leeds have announced that they will return in 2012, now in its sixth year. The festival will take place over the bank holiday weekend, from 4-6th May 2012. Marina and the Diamonds are set to headline, along with Los Campesinos; Ladyhawke and The Subways.
The festival was started in 2007 to mark Leeds' 800th birthday and will feature over 100 artists playing at eleven different venues throughout the city, which can all be accessed with the purchase of a wristband. Also confirmed in the initial line-up is Brooklyn band Friends; Reverend and The Makers; JAKE BUGG and Niki and the Dove. In addition, rappers Example and Wretch 32 will be playing a separate ticketed event at the city's Millennium Square, to mark the end of Example's first arena tour.
Live At Leeds will start off with The Unconference, which will feature guest speakers, educational workshops and industry panels, who give hints and tips on breaking into the music industry. The festival will end with BBC Sound of 2012 nominated girl group Stooshe performing at The Cockpit. Also finishing things off will be the second Live at Leeds football tournament, with The Pigeon Detectives returning to defend their title.
The line-up at last year's festival included Anna Calvi; Glasvegas; The Futureheads and Aloe Blacc.
Early bird tickets are now sold-out.
Additional line-up announcements are set to happen in the near future.
