Tour Dates & Album Info
Little Barrie herald the arrival of their forthcoming album with the release of a limited edition import 7" single on July 24th on Genuine. The single features two brand new songs Pretty Pictures and Girls and Shoes.
Little Barrie have been busy putting the finishing touches to their new album. Co-Produced by Dan "The Automator" Nakamura - best known for his work with Gorillaz - the album was recorded in New York and features Blues Explosions drummer Russell Simins. Simins joined the band for the initial recording sessions in late 2005 prior to the arrival of Little Barrie's new drummer Billy Skinner, who has since joined as a full time member.
Meanwhile Little Barrie will showcase tracks from the album at a handful of festival gigs, a Club NME night and two very special gigs in London in August. Going under the banner Little Barrie's Two night Stand, Little Barrie will headline two shows at London's St Moritz Club on August 2nd and 23rd. The band will be joined by Dolly Daggers on August 2nd and Honkeyfinger on 23rd with other special guests and DJs to be announced.
In the interim guitarist and vocalist Barrie Cadogan - who stepped in as guest guitarist on Morrisey's 2004 tour - continues his stint as guitarist with Primal Scream. Cadogan has been touring with the band over the last few months, joining them on their own headlining shows and festival dates.
