Pop star Lisa Stansfield is plotting a chart comeback, eight years after her last album.
The All Around The World singer enjoyed huge international success in the 1990s and sold 20 million albums worldwide.
Her last record was 2004's The Moment, and the star has remained largely out of the limelight since - but she's now heading back into the studio to work on new material.
She tells Britain's Sunday Mirror, "It's been a very long time. I've been busy doing things behind the scenes, but I can confirm I'm finally back in the studio.
"The time feels right now. I've been offered every s**t celebrity reality show going and I would never do that - what's the point?
"I'm a singer and I'm ready to get back to doing my thing. I guess you just hope that there's still a demand. I'm wanting to do an album that will make a real statement. It's time for a return."
